How to Stay Motivated
No matter what profession you are in or how well you are doing, it’s tough to keep your passion alive. It’s certainly very difficult to be always motivated. Reignite your Passion and bring back Josh. How to Stay Motivated is what matters most.
Whenever we start something new, it’s always that adrenaline rushing which keeps us awake, working, and on our toes at all times. Because we are thinking of our success and start imagining the future! But then what happens as time passes by, maybe you don’t even get to taste that success. Keeping up the passion and positivity is not always as easy.
Now comes the most critical question. Should I Quit or is there a way out of it? What will keep you going on with the same dream? At this point, you need to revisit your love, passion, goals, and the reasons why you started all this?
Next, you need to remind yourself that getting discouraged is okay and normal. It’s part of life, so accept it. But never ever, let your dreams die. Dream on and keep taking small steps towards achieving it. It may take time to get back on track, but at least you’re not giving up!
There are a few options that I’d suggest to re-ignite your passion from my own experience. Trust me they worked!
Take a Break/Step Back
By taking a break, I mean putting a lid on the entire thing and coming off it. A day, week or even a month if be required.
This may sound like you will never ever be able to get back to work again. But that isn’t so. Doing so helps you look at the entire thing from a completely new perspective. An excellent idea or plan may strike, that you may be otherwise missing while working and being surrounded by it.
Re-research
When you started out, you must have done some homework, researched, interviewed, read and talked to people. But what happens is that you do run out of ideas, irrespective of where you stand.
If you hit a roadblock, start re-researching. Talk to people, watch videos, follow articles, and read. In simple terms, just write in your query on any search engine and check a few good links. The Internet has everything that you will need.
There will be testimonies of others who must have shared their experiences. Learn from it!
Great Expectations?
We all, have expectations of ourselves. I’m sure you also must have set some of these. But sometimes, we start expecting too much out of ourselves and pushing to the limit. You should keep checking your expectations and if they are even real. Don’t be harsh on yourself.
Create Back-ups
When you start work, be it business or corporate, you sometimes think that I will be able to do it best because I know the entire thing inside out. That’s good, however, you’ll start making errors more and more often because the entire pressure will be on you. Always, create backups who can do the task just in case you cannot. Remember: The Show Must Go On!
Disconnect
Our lives these days are most consumed by social media. We feel the unnecessary urge to check our phone every time it beeps. This needs to stop or at least be minimized. You need to start focusing on what’s more important – stupid WhatsApp messages or your Dreams!
Be Positive
This is by far one of the most important aspects that you need to explore, more. Being positive and Staying positive is extremely critical!
You need to decide who matters more in your life –negative people who discourage you from anything or the positive ones who encourage you for everything!
Do whatever it takes to remain Focussed on your Goal and Dreams. Never, ever give up or give in because things weren’t favourable, conditions were tough and people were against it! Not one person who has succeeded hasn’t faced all this. But they still held on. They still believed.
